Guest speaker at Grand Bend
United Church was Eugene Fox, who
is a lay minister and writer. He and
his wife, Janet, live in Zurich.
If you read Ezekiel 4:9 you will find
the recite for the flour he makes and
sells unsr the name "Ezekiel flour".
It is a fasting food and will be featured
on an upcoming 100 Huntley St. pro-
gram on TV. Fox is currently work-
ing DO a three-year reading guide and
commentary of the Bible.
Fox based his message to the con-
gregation from Psalm 27, where
David gave testimony saying "The
Lord is my light and my salvation".
David thanked God for all the good
things in his life. Fox, asked "what is
God plus nothing?" "Nothing or
everything?" The Lord has work for
us all to do. He said there are many
places in the world where we could
not meet and worship in the open out-
doors as we do at Grand Bend, and we
should be strong and take heart and
wait for the Lord.
Don Kobe gave the opening prayer
and introduced the guest speaker.
Special music was the delightful
singing of the six Schwartzentruber

onials in third place overall. They won
the "B" championship tourney in Ex-
eter in a recent tournament there.
Coach Luke Mommersteeg has the
team well conditioned for the season
finals.
There was no report on the GB
peewee team or the mosquitos for last
week. The GB atoms had to forfeit
their game last Monday to Lobo.
There were too many atom players
away on vacation. They met Lucan II
on August 18 at home. The team has
had eight wins, one tie and two losses
to date.
The steadily improved squirt soc-
cer club won their seventh game of
the season against Denfield Thursday
night. In the 7-1 match, all seven goals
were scored by centre half -back and
centre forward players, Simon Des-
jardine and Tommy Maguire. The
team plays their final league game
tomorrow night in Exeter. Coaches
Helga and Hans Grote, Pt. Franks,
are very proud of their improved
team.
