Couples back from Expo '86

Mr. and Mrs. Donald Bray, Mr. and
Mrs. Arnold Cann, Mr. and Mrs. Jack
Stewart arrived home last Tuesday
after having been to Expo for twelve
days.
Scott and Rob Jeffery, Windsor
visited wt$► their grandparents Mr.
and Mrs. iRobert Jeffery most of last
week. t
Mrs. Genn Rohde attended the
funeral of her grandmother the late
Mrs. Annie Baker at St. Paul's
Anglican Church Wingham on
Wednesday. She was in her 97th year.
Sympathy is extended.
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Rohde were
guests at the wedding meal of Jerry
Gibson and Lee McCallum who were
married recently. The meal was at
the Canton Restaurant in London,
Sunday.
,Brian Richardson returned home
Saturday after having spent last week
at Camp Bimini.

A reunion of the tour group of the
1980 Roy Jewell tour to Australia and
New Zealand was held this year at the
home of Mary and Wilmer Scott,
south of Clandeboye.
Twenty-six out of the original 34 at-
tended. They came from Kingston,
Markham, Binbrook, St. Thomas,
Dutton, Sarnia, Ailsa Craig and
Lucan.
A correction in spelling in last
week's news should have read The
Heulse reunion held at the home of
Aggie and Pete Groenewegen were all
originally from Kwintsheul, Holland,
not Kivintsheul as appeared in the
paper. Sorry about that.
Richardson, ,Erin, Brian and Lori
were Sunday supper guests with Mr.
and Mrs. Ken Duncan and Floyd. The
occasion being Lori, Erin and
Jeremy's birthdays.
. Church service
Rev. Robert Matheson was in
charge of the church service at Elim-
ville on Sunday morning. We sang the
children's hymn "Pass It On" and the
minister told the story entitled
"Listening for the Light".
The scripture lesson was read from
I1 Kings 2:1, 6-14, Colossians 1:1-14,
Luke 10:25-37. The sermon was entitl-
ed "Fading Lines". Because we are
all special in the sight of God, we are
all called to be His servants.
Next Sunday July 20 the worship
service will be held at Thames Road
at 10 a.m. with special music.
On July 27 the worship service and
picnic will be held at the Morrison
Dam at 10:30 .m.
Vacation Bible School' will be held
in the evenings August 11 to . August
15 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Education degree in Guidance
and Counselling. Many thanks to

Honour bride
at.Centralia

Quite a number of people from the
village and surrounding territory at-
tended a bridal shower for Mary
Agnes Dietrich, bride elect which was
held at Precious Blood school in Ex-
eter Sunday afternoon.
Mary Agnes is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Benny Dietrich. June
Fssery was M.C. for a program of
music and song. The Mills brothers
sang a couple of songs followed by
guitar music and readings. A short
skit was presented by June and Janet
Hern.
The bride. to be was assisted in
opening the gifts by her bridal party
and nieces. Mary Agnes thanked all
for the gifts. A lovely lunch ended the
afternoon.
Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Mills spent the
weekend in Aylmer where they at-
tended the 25th wedding anniversary
of Carol's sister Saturday evening.
Miss Jean Clark, Dunnville, spent
the weekend with Tom and 1 and
Helen MacDonald of Lucan. Helen
entertained Saturday evening at a bir-
thday dinner in my honour, Betty
Sutherland and Carl Anderson, Ilder-
ton were Sunday dinner guests with
us.
Miss Allison Eagen, Wyoming, is
holidaying with Haley Hartford.

Harry Carroll returned home last
week from a visit to relatives and
friends in Western Canada, Alberta
and Saskatchewan.
Mr. and' Mrs. Bob MacGillivray.
Courtney and Katie Scarlett spent the
weekend with Bob's parents. Mr. and
Mrs. John MacGillivray, Stokes Bay.
Mrs. Joan Beaume, Kelly and I
spent several days this past week at
Driftwood Park on Lake Huron,
guests of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Barker,
Mrs. Barker and Mrs. Marguerite
Greenlee joined us Thursday
afternoon.
Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Davis join-
ed a group of Mends who planned a
picnic Friday afternoon but due to
rain, they had a reunion at the home
of Mrs. Alma Godbolt, Exeter.
Miss Marylou Tindall. Petrolia,
visited me Sunday evening.

A minority group has "arrived" only
