The United Church Women fed over
600 people at their annual Strawberry
and Ham Supper last Monday night.

Many people from this area were
guests at the Moran -Ballantyne wed-
ding in Thames Road Church and also
the reception and dance at Kirkton-
Woodham Community Saturday
afternoon and evening. More people
from this area attended the dance.
Congratulations David and Brenda.
A number of people from this com-
munity attended the Elimville An-
niversary on Sunday. It was really a
good service with Rev. Cheryl -Ann
Stadelbauer-Sampa of Egmondville
as the guest minister.
Next Sunday June 29 will be Promo-
tion Sunday at Thames Road for the
Sunday School members at 11:15 a.m.
Get well wishes are extended to
Danny McCarter who was injured in
a bike accident last week. At time of
writing he is a patient in St. Joseph's
Hospital, London.
Mr. and Mrs. Jim Miller of Staffa,
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Duncan and
'grandson Doug Duncan spent the
weekend at Stokes Bay.

Sunday was Decoration Day at Tion
.Unjted Church. The sermon taplc was
taken from I Kinks 17:17-14 titled
"The Five Great Powers of Life".
Special music was by the Hill family
of Granton. They were Jonathon,
Matthew, and Brianna Hill assisted
by their mother Anne on the piano.
We thank them for their song.
Choir practice is Wednesday at 8:00
p.m. This is the last practice till July
30.
There will be no Sunday School till
September.

ed home from hospital.

A report from the Dashwood and
Area Medical Association for the year
ending December 31, 1985 shows an
increase in income from rent and
donations to $4,625 from $3,906.48 in
1984.
Operating expenses of 63039.38,
which included $1,185 for cleaning
(custodian), grounds maintenance of
$195 and municipal taxes and in-
surance of $1,063.42 left a net income
of $1,585.62 for the year.
The previous year's bottom line
was $155.67.

Sympathy and love goes out to the
families of the late Mrs. Louise Mit-
chell. Mrs. Mitehel passed away
1fu'sday, June 19 at Queensway Nur-
sing Home, Hensall. She is the mother
of Mr. Leslie Michell. Also to the
families of the late 'Mr. Clarence
Schade of Zurich. Mr. Schade passed
away June 19 at South Huron Hospital
Exeter. He is the father of Phyllis
Lightfoot RR 1 Crediton and ,Mona
Hamilton RR 3 Ailsa Craig.

60th wedding anniversary.
