Church news
At Granton United Church the Rev.
Bruce Pierce was in charge of the
Sunday morning worship and entitl-
ed his message "They were called
Christians."
In the children's story the minister
asked them, what did they come to
church for? He received several
answers, such as one "to Worship
God".
The Rev. Pierce took his sermon
from the Scripture lesson taken from
Acts 9 - 19-31, and opened with a
sentence; Did I do anything today to
show my neighbors I am a Christian,
or did I do anything for someone as
a Christian? A Christian has to have
a good attitude about himself and to
others.
The Granton United Church spon-

strawberry supper held in the Lions
Park. This annual event was very
well attended.
