Stewardship was the theme of the
June meeting of Woodham UCW held
on June 10 in the church basement
with group 3 in charge.
Mrs. Ted Insley played quiet,music
before' the meeting. Mrs. Gerald
Brintnell opened the worship service
with a reading "Stewards of the
Earth". Mrs: Glenn Copeland gave a
reading "Loving the Earth". Mrs.
Don Brine led in prayer followed by
the scripture by Mrs. Glenn Copeland.
Mrs. Gerald Brintnell read a short
reading on Stewardship. Mrs. Ted In-
sley gave a reading "Our Lifestyle is
Destroying our Surroundings" follow-
ed by a reading by Miss Jean
Copeland "On the Environment".
Mrs. Gerald Brintnell led in a prayer
of confession.
Miss Copeland thanked Mrs. Brint-
nell and all who had helped with the
worship service. Miss Copeland read
a poem "The Package of Seed." The
roll call was taken, the minutes read
and approved and the correspondence
was read. Mrs. Don Brine gave the
treasurer's report and reported
another successful barbecue. Miss
Copeland thanked everyone for all
their help at the barbecue.
We were reminded of the Campsite
Expertence at Camp Bimini on June
17. It was moved to donate 51,000.00
to the church. Miss Copeland told
about the tours that had been taken
at the Museum of Indian Archeology
in London.
Mrs. Glenn Copeland conducted a
workshop when we cut up greeting
cards and put the pictures into scrap
books for the hospital and nursing
homes.

Playhouse opens

There's plenty of hustle and bustle
at the Huron Country Playhouse as
the first week of rehearsals get under-
way for the Season Opener Carousel.

performers have gathered at the
Playhouse to produce Rodgers and
Hammerstein's favourite musical.
Many area children are also includ-
ed in this year's cast, including some
from London, Exeter, Forest, Grand
Bend and Zurich. Artistic Director
Steven Schipper says, "The entire
team at the Playhouse is capable of
producing brilliant, breathtaking
theatre. I'm sure our audience will be
thrilled when they see Carousel:"
In addition, music and dance
rehearsals are starting to take on
shape. Musical Director, Michael
Mulreoney".says,-"Ther assortment of
talent- at the Huron 'Country
Playhouse is of a quality equal to any
other theatre in Canada."
Behind the scenes crews are busy
building sets, making costumes and
gathering props, making for plenty of
activity at the Playhouse.
. Carousel previews June 24 with the
opening night set for June 25 and runs
until July 12 on the Main Stage.
