Elaine Noury of Windsor spent a
few days this past week visiting with
her cousin, Carmel Sweeney and
family.
Don and Elaine Beauchamp and
family spent Saturday and Sunday in
Woodstock with her sikter Marlene
and Lennis Bedard and boys.
The children of the Zurich Bean
Sprout Nursery School, along with
their teacher and some parents, en-
joyed going to Storybook Gardens in
London by bus last Thursday for the
day.
George and Rosalie Harvey of Red-
ford, Michigan are back up to their
"cottage north of SL Joseph for a cou-
ple of weeks. (Rose has been ill most
of the winter but is feeling much bet-
ter now). With them is her mother
Mrs. Margaret Masse. Visitors for the
American holiday weekend were
their son, John and Ellen Harvey of
Michigan.
Newlyweds Robert and Barbara
Smith of Hamilton spent the previous
weekend visiting with their parents
and families, Gordon and Cecilia
Smith and Clarence and Joan Regier.
Dennis Regier was winner of $500
:at the Tenderspot Store in Zurich
recently in the Triple Blay Baseball
score game. Lots of people have won
$5.00 each.
David Beer (R.C.M.P.) of British
Columbia spent the weekend visiting
with his mother Mrs, Lillian Beer and
brother in Hensall. He also visited his
in-laws, Mozart and Marie Gelinas Sr.
and family in Zurich. Dave is present-
ly taking a month's course in Ottawa.
While he is away, sister-in-law Cindy
Gelinas of London and two children
are visiting for a month with Melissa
Beer and two children in Mission B.C.
and will be taking in Expo in
Vancouver.
Ray and Verna Roth of Sarnia spent
the weekend at the home of Richard
and Mary Erb and helped with their
anniversary party on Sunday.
John and Liz Rockershousen and
daughter, Darcy of Cedar, Michigan,
spent the weekend with Russell and
Elizabeth Grainger renewing the ac-
quaintance of friends in the area as
they moved from their cottage at
Snowden Acres nine years ago. They
also attended the 25th anniversary of
good friends, Richard and Mary Erb.

Parish at St. Joseph is having a Day
of Recollection at their hall beginning
at 10:00 a.m. under the direction of
Father Gary Ducharme.

The St. Boniface C.W.L. held their
monthly meeting on May 20. The new
executive with Bridget Groot as presi-
dent warmly welcomed all members.

Helen Creces gave an excellent
report about the Convention that took
place in Chatham recently, attended
by Bridget Groot and herself.
Holy Name Parish in St. Marys is
planning a Pilgrimage Day on Sun-
day, July 13 and has invited all the
parish to attend. For more informa-

the Shrine on Thomas Street.

Kenny Overholt kindly donated the
use of a VCR for the meeting to show
a movie entitled "Mother Teresa of
Calcutta, A Visit of Hope". Her words
were inspiring and everyone ap-
preciated the true beauty of this saint-
ly woman.
Marie Mathonia won the door prize
and all enjoyed a delicious lunch of
cake with strawberries and ice cream
along with coffee.
Bingo
The bingo held at St. Peter's Parish
hall, St. Joseph, was a big success
with several winners. A draw on a
turkey donated by the Jeffrey
Brothers was won by Viola
Ducharme.
A fruit basket donated by the
Tenderspot was won by Brenda
DeGroot and an ornamental pitcher
vase donated by Bernadette
Denomme was won by Patti LaPorte.
There were several bingo winners for
the three share the wealth jackpots.
Musicale
A presentation of "Who Built the
Ark", a children's musicale by the
Mennonite Junior Sunday School
class, was enjoyed by all who attend-
ed, last Friday evening held at Zurich
public school.

A pleasant afternoon was spent at
tile farm home of Richard and Mary
Erb, R1L3 Bayfield when their three.
children had arranged an Outdoor
openhouse to celebrate their parents'
25th wedding anniversary on Sunday,
May 25. Thedlay was spent socializ-
ing and watching a mock wedding,
which was put on by some of the
oun folks.
A delicious barbecue supper was
enjoyed by a great many friends and
relatives.

Marie Denomme who celebrate! ,

Saturday, May 24 with a family din-
ner at the Dominion Tavern with 24
