Upsets.•order
Upsets continue to happen in all facets of sports these days.
About six weeks ago the odds that the Montreal Canadiens
would win the Stanley Cup were probably at about 50 to one and
the situation would be the same for the Cleveland Indians to be
ahead of the Detroit Tigers and Toronto. Blue Jays.
The early season success of the Indians proves a point that
most cities will support a winner. One of the home games a week
ago drew more than 60,000 fans to Municipal Stadium. That's the
largest crowd for any major league stadium this year.
The attendance Sunday against the Blue Jays was down to
some 13,000 but, that's about double the average attendance a year
ago.
At the time of writing both the Tigers and Blue Jays seem to
have their early season woes corrected and are starting to climb
away from their lowly positions.
About three years ago we were climbing on the band wagon
for Blue Jay rookie lefthander John Cerutti. It has taken that length
of time, but, he appears to be the starting southpaw they need in
Toronto. He has now gone 16 innings and allowed only two runs.
The only apparent serious problem remaining with the Blue
Jays is the inability for Dave Stieb to win a game. The other pit-
chers seem to be coming around and turning in satisfactory
performances.

and Red Sox and the way they are going will be tough to catch.

.Sports trivia •
Here are the answers to last week's trivia:
The only major leaguers to come up with 3,000 base hits and
400 home runs are Hank Aaron, Willie Mays, Stab Musial and Carl
Yaztremski.
The only unifortns retired by the Cleveland Indians belonged
to Earl Averill, BobFeller and Lit Boudreau.
In 1966 Detroit Tiger Manager Charlie Pressen and his replace-
ment coach Bob Swift both died during the season and coach Frank

This week's questions are:

touchdowns in one game?

in his first ever time at bat?
The fastest goal from the start of an NHL game was scored
at five seconds of the first period. Who was the quick shooter?
