The telethon is under the direction
of the Osmond Foundation which was
founded by the Osmond family to
raise funds and educate the public on
the important work performed daily
by. hospitals for children.
The Children's Miracle Network
Telethon is the first telethon where all
the money raised stays in the com-
munity, benefitting the local hospital
for children and their telethon effort.
Forty minutes of every hour is pro-
duced live via satellite from the Os-
mond Studios in Utah. The remaining
20 minutes will be produced ipeally

Rev. Edwin Morrow, London, was
guest minister, Sunday at Greenway
United Church, in the absence of Rev.
R. Peebles who was speaking in Ilder-
ton United Church.
Rev. Morrow was minister at
Greenway and Grand Bend pastoral'
charges for the years 1965 to 1969.
He is now retired, but had been an
assistant at Metropolitan United in
London for a few years.
Rev. and Mrs. Morrow were dinner
guests with Ross and Violet Brown
after the Greenway service.
Personals
Sandra and Tony Regier, Chris,
Heather and .tl" of Detroit were up
on the weekent .1, open their cottage
here and visit Sandra's parents Ken
and Ortha Baker. Elsie and Jack
Reder, Bayfield called Sunday at the
Baker's.
Lorne and Dorothy Fenner spent a
couple of days last week visiting
cousins, Mrs. Ada Staddon and Ken
and Betty Robertson, at Kingsville.
Sebastian and Emanuel Hererrias,
of London, recently visited here with
their grandparents, Sid and Eleanor
Durie and Uncle Glenn.

Choir practice is 8 p.m. Wednesday.
There will be no Sunday school on
Sunday June 1.
Crediton and District Social Club
held their May dancebon Saturday
evening. Silver dollar supplied the
music. Happy birthday was sung to
Ted Whales, Lil McLellan, Basil
Glavin and happy anniversary to
Basil and Marlene Glavin and Harvey
and Lois Hodgins.
The Gideons' Don Jolly, and Alec
Turnbull were guest speakers at Zion
United Church and.told of their work
pertaining to Gideons. Bibles 'are
bought with the money that is
donated.
