4. The track was fast and well-
groomed with changes from previous
years.
Jim finished third in the first race
with the fourth place bike within in-

In the second moto Jim had a com-

South Huron Y.F.C. held their last
indoor rally for the season Saturday
night May 3 at Huron Centennial
School, Brucefield with a large
number in attendance. Director Ron
Westlake opened the rally with
several choruses with Mrs. Ruth
Gower of Goderich at piano and open-
ing prayer by Rev. Bob DeGraw of
Centralia.
Quizzing time followed with three
teams taking part as others could not
attend. They quizzed on Proverbs 6.
Results were Clinton first, Exeter se-
cond, and Bayfield third.
As these were the quiz finals for the
season, Robert Steckle, quiz -master
presented the trophy to the Clinton
team as they were the top team for
the year. The trophy was presented
to the captain after which several
team members gave testimony as to
what quizzing had meant to them,
stressing that prayer time had been
the key factor. Their coach, Steve
Rathwell, thanked all the quizzers, as
well as the board of Y.F.C. and told
how much it had meant to him to have
taken part in teaching them the scrip-,
tures, almost more than winning. The
trophy will be placed in Clinton High
School.
Mr. and Mrs. John Gower of
Goderich have been responsible for
making up the questions.
The board members will sponsor an
appreciation night for all quizzers at
the school on Thursday night May 15.
The annual chicken barbecue will
be held on Saturday June 14 at Ken
Gascho's Park, Zurich. Tickets will
be available to all; board members at
$5.25 for adults or $3.75 for children.
The rally was then turned over to
Marilyn Edgeley, a Gospel singer and
speaker from Belleville, Ont. She

Queensway
April was a very popular month for
birthdays in our Home. Several
residents from both the Rest Home
and the Nursing Home joined in the
birthday celebrations last week.
Those who celebrated their birthdays
in April were Albert Miazga, Murray
Howe, Ross Thompson, Clayton
Mathers, Dora Hogarth, Muriel Gun-
ning, Reta Upshall, Margaret Smith
and Margaret Coyne. Happy birthday
everyone!
On Monday, April 28, the Hensall
Presbyterian Church ladies ran Bingo
for us. It was very well attended.
On Tuesday, Rev. Richard Hawley
performed our weekly church ser-
vice. Mrs. Josie Ryckman was the
volunteer pianist.
On Wednesday we enjoyed our best
movie presentation yet. It was entitl-
ed, "J.T.", the story of a shy lonely
Harlem boy whose only friend was an
old one -eyed alley cat named Bones.
It was an excellent movie.
On Thursday afternoon the Rest
Home Ladies Baking Club met to
make bran muffins. They were ab-
solutely delicious!
On Saturday afternoon several Nur-
sing Home residents met in the Ac-
tivity Room for an afternoon of
crokinole and shuffle board. All had
a good time. We have some excellent
crokinole players here.
