Millie Desjardine gave the opening prayer and led the hymn sing. From the workshop on "Heart Troubles" they began a new chapter on the "Faithful Heart." People like to think that faithfulness comes easily to everyone but themselves, but "enduring to the end" doesn't happen automatically. In I Kings, God was pleased with Solomon, who did not persevere and finally gave into sin. People cannot depend upon past experiences of God's grace to help them keep faithful in the present and future. The word "faithful" is repeatedly linked in the Bible with the words ,e" and "servant." The Bat character trait of a faithful sera is perseverance, to ask the Holy Spirit to dwell within and to do His will. The lesson was led by Nita Sinclair who also gave the closing prayer. remembering the sick and the shut- ins. The meeting will be the same time:and place next week.
