Mr. McDonald spoke on the subject of "The Family Unit" and took as his background scripture the Book of Ruth and par- ticularly the life of Naomi. "in the midst of our times of tension and stress, the one significant, sane unit that we have to cling to and keep our perspective is the family," he said. He related Naomi to the grand- parents, Ruth and Boaz to the parents, and their 'children to our children. He spoke 01 the responsibili- ty we have to those we receive through baptism and how the things we do, the values we live by, greatly influence those around us. "A community," he said, "can destroy young lives if it is basically evil, or it can build up young lives if it is essentially good." The Junior Choir led in the ministry of music and sang two anthems. They opened the sePvvice with "We are the Church", and following the baptism sang "God is so Good", with Mrs. Fuss at the piano.
