Hensall United Church
'Something happened to me in
church last Sunday and I've never
been the same since" was the sermon
title at the United Church on Sunday
morning. Mr. McDonald based his
thoughts on Psalm 73. He spoke of
how our spiritual worship embraces
not only what we are but what we do.
Things happen in church that have a
far-reaching effect and influence
upon character and conduct now and
later, he said. What effect will our be-
ing here today have on our life tomor-
row? Do we sit here merely as spec-
tators, or are we involved in a renew-
ing, transforming experience that will
give colour, zest, and meaning to our
affairs of life tomorrow and the next
day and the next?

which signifies the renewal of faith
and growth.

many talented native people - doctors,

to all of us.

To the Editor:
I would like to thank the Hensall
Nursery School for inviting the public
to talk with and listen to, Ruth Linton,
from the County Health Unit.
She has beep a staunch supporter
of discussing the topicuf sexuality to
anyone and everyone who has the
maturity to face the subject directly.
It was disappointing to discover our
community had erroneous informa-
tion about Ruth's role as a resource
person to the Nursery School.
When preteens in our village and
other towns and cities are engaging
in sexual activity and bragging to
their peers the parents had better be
prepared to talk to preschoolers about
their values (not their techniques! ! )
so by the time they are teens maybe
society will have a few less single
parents and a few more independent
responsible adults. Hats off Hensall
Nursery School.
Thank you,
Janis Bisback
