business portion afterwards. A bake
sale, plant table, used books for sale
and draws on a cake and•quilts are
some of the attractions planned for
the Mother's Day Tea to be held
Saturday, May 10 at the home from
2-4 in the afternoon. The ladies are go-
ing to purchase two new carts to be
used in the dining room.
More aprons are needed for sale at
the Apron -wheel.
The subscription for the large print
edition of the Readers' Digest was
renewed for the residents for another
year.
The birthday party will be held on
April 15 by the C.W.L. of St. Peter's
Parish, St. Josephs.
Bowling
The ladies and men bowling teams
are now in play-offs with only one
more week to go. Our banquet will be
held in Hensel! on Saturday, May 3.
A few young people from town
made a "Cor" weekend in Stratford
which was held at St. Michael's
school. They found it to be a very
rewarding experience.
Diabetes Canvass
Since March was Diabetes month,
the Diabetes Association received a
grand total of $117.00 from the town
of Zurich. Eleanor Riley (Captain)
would like to thank all the volunteer
canvassers and those who contributed
to this cause.
Knights of Columbus Charter Night
Plan to attend the Knights of Col-
umbus (St. Boniface Council) Charter
Night on Saturday, April 19 beginning
with Mass at 5:30 p.m. followed by
supper at 7:30 at the Hensall Com-
munity Centre and dance at 9:00 p.m.
Tickets are 612.50 each. Contact Doug

The Zurich Cub Pack of 19 boys is
planning to go camping this summer
near Bayfield on the June 1 holiday
weekend. They would appreciate any
camping equipment that anyone,
such as tents, sleeping bags, dishes,
pots and pans, etc. Please contact

In spite of a wet, rainy day several
friends and relatives attended the
wedding. The bride is the daughter of
Joan and Clarence Regier and the
groom is the son of Cecilia and Gord
Smith, both of Zurich.
The couple will be living in
Hamilton.

The frogs and the birds are singing,

The movies shown on Monday even-
ing were "Jane Goodall and Baboon
Troupe" and "Ponies of Miklaenigi"
followed by refreshments.
The Ladies Auxiliary held their
regular monthly meeting on Tuesday
evening beginning with a program for
the residents consisting of accordion
music by George Mathonia. Nelson
Howe and Fred Harburn played
violins and Ivan Norris accompanied
them on his guitar. Mary Lou
Denomme read two poems.
Refreshments were then served.
