As we experienced in the past week,
March is a very tempermental
month. We are thankful for the staff
who bunked down at the Home for the
night or ploughed their way in on Fri-
day morning, making sure that the
Home was well staffed during the
storm. Many people may not stop to
realize that we just can't close the
door and walk out on days such as
Friday.
On Tuesday evening, the Ladies
Auxiliary held their regularmeeting
for the month of March. The program
consisted of musical numbers by
Calvin Gingerich and Doug Oesch
who sang • and accompanied
themselves on their guitars. -Cameron
Rader played several piano solos and
Della Gascho favoured with a
reading. Following the program. a
delicious lunch was served.
The sympathy of residents and staff
is extended to the family of the late
Mrs. Hilda Shapton.
Many of our readers might be in-
terested to know that the construction
has begun on the addition of an
auditorium which will be built in the
courtyard between the staff dining
room and the hobby shop. I am sure
this addition will prove to be a great
asset for all our activities and will
leave our dining room intact for the
purpose it was meant for.
We welcome Mrs. Fern Love,
former Grand Bend resident.
Bingo was enjoyed on Friday even-
ing followed by refreshments.
The Sunday evening chapel service
was conducted by Rev. Kenneth
Knight of Hensall and Exeter
Presbyterian churches.
