The Hensall Bantams were hosted
by Goderich on February 26. The
game was rough as Goderich tried to
intimidate the boys into fighting, but
to no avail as Hensall'stuck to'the fun-
damentals of hockey and outplayed
and outchecked Goderich.
The marksmen for Hensall were
able to chalk up 16 goals compared to
3 for their hosts.

A good number attended shuf-
fleboard and euchre on Thursday
afternoon. The high scorers were Alf
Ross 228, Dave Kyle 210 and Dorothy
Brintnell 197.
The tenants of Northcrest had 14 at-
tend a nice potluck supper on Thurs-
day evening. It was nice to have Irene
Davis back with us.

The Rev. Duncan Farris of London
was guest speaker at the Cromarty
Presbyterian Church service on Sun-
day morning. In his sermon, A Mat-
ter of Identity, he repeated Jesus'
questions, "Whom do men say that I
am?" and "Whom do you say that I
am?" Because of Peter's answer,
"You are the Christ", we, as well as
the disciples, have responsibilities.
Next Sunday the sacrament of the
Lord's Supper will be observed. Other
community events coming up are the
World's Day of Prayer les Friday in
Cromarty Church at p.m. and the
annual crokinole party on Wednesday
March 12 at 8 p.m.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Laing visited
Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Bill
Chessell, Varna.
Mr. and Mrs. Philip James, Mr.
and Mrs. Lorne Fell and Joyce, took
part in the entertaiement at Huron -

4H club was hosted by our leaders

The girls practised the proper way
to make introductions, then discuss-
ed the meaning of etiquette. Leaders
prepared a light lunch and told of the
correct way to set a buffet table.
The 4-H Record Books were
discussed and we will decide the col-
our and name to go on our book
overs at the next meeting.
The second meeting of Hurondale I
was held February 19 at Poole's.
There were six members present.
Election of officers resulted as

The girls discussed etiquette on the
telephone and at family meals.
Leaders Barbara Poole and Veronica

Victor Brisson attended the
meeting. His application for a bylaw
rezoning lots 30 and 31 at St. Joseph
from single family to multiple to per-
mit the establishment of con-
dominiums was accepted. A 35 -day
upwl period follows, allowing any
objections to council's decision.
Responding toa letter from Clinton
clerk Cam Proctor expressing con-
cern about the cumulative effect of
the "exorbitant" salary increases to
county department heads, Wilder said
he had voted against the increases at
the time, and had also objected tb the
way they were all presented in one
package, but the motion had passed,
and it was ndfv too late to protest.
February was a very busy month
here at Queensway and hopefully
March will be the same.
Monday, February 24, was the last
bingo run by the Kippen United.
Church ladies. Everyone had a
wonderful time. Tea and coffee and,
a snack was shared afterwards.
On Tuesday morning Lil Baker and
Judy Parker instructed our Ceramics
Club. Our talented club members are
really producing lovely ceramics. On
Tuesday afternoon Shirley Luther
performed our lovely church service.
Several of our residents enjoyed
bowling at Town and Country Bowl-
ing Lanes in Zurich on Wednesday
afternoon. Neil+ Regan' scored the
mens hjg,h with :131. point yhi6e
Muriel Gunning scored the ladies high
with 89 points.
On Thursday our Nursing Home
Residents Council met for their mon-
thly meeting. It turned out to be a
very interesting and informative
meeting.
Our movie for this week was entitl-
ed "The First Canadian Winter
Games". It was all about. Canada's
first winter games which were held in
Quebec. Everyone thoroughly en-
joyed the movie especially our loyal
sports fans.
