Water Rate Revision for Customers of the
Exeter Public Utilities Commission
The Exeter Public Utilities Commission has found that
a water rate revision will be necessary in 1986.
Due to a reduction in commercial water consumption
and minimal number of domestic customers being
added to the system, revenue will not meet projected
expenses.
In 1986 the Utility's largest well must be over haul-
ed and this expense as well as ever increasing nor-
mal expenses, makes this adjustment necessary.
A 4% increase in water rate will be implemented
with all commercial and domestic bills rendered on
or after February 28, 1986.
The following rates will apply to domestic customers,
and water at slightly over 304 per day will still give
customers excellent value with a daily increase of
slightly over one cent.
Comparison of Domestic Rate for a Customer
with Tap. Toilet & Bath
Existing Proms Wawa
Cost per day 28.904 30.124 1.224
Cost per month $8.79 $9.16 $0.37
