FAMILY SUPPORT WORKER
A Family Support Worker is required to ensure co-ordination
and delivery to families with developmentally handicapped
family members, those supports and resources necessary to
reduce the need for institutional placement and to ensure that
all handicapped persons living with their families receive ap-
propriate training and care to ensure optimum development.
The successful applicant must hove the use of a vehicle. This
is a newly approved position.
Qualifications:
A degree from a recognized university in the social work/social
science field (M.S.W., B .S.W.) with two to three years related
experience is required with the ability to assess and plan for
the needs of people with developmentally handicaps and their
families. The applicant should be familiar with the social ser-
vices system as it relates to people with handicaps and have
experience and knowledge in family counselling.
Salary:
Commensurate with qualifications and experience. Excellent
