Roger Mason spoke from Hebrews 12:12-17, en- couraging Christians not to let adver- sities cause them to lose out with God. God will use every adversity to draw Christians closer to Him, and produce His character in them. A despondent spirit and hopelessness, can cause a Christian to allow the circumstances to drag him down. A despondent person is open to temptation to sin. In verses 12-13 God advises the Christian to ac- quire strength to actually snap out of the despondent attitude. Reach out to God to receive strength. Bruce Thomson, from Youth With a Mission, played his guitar as he taught two new songs written by YWAM members. Mrs. Carmine join- ed him in singing Behold the Lamb, with everyone joining in. Mr. Thom- son then sang Unworthy am I. From John 1:19-34, read the witness of John the Baptist of Jesus being the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. Today we need to behold the Lamb of God. In the Old Testament a spotless lamb was needed for the sing offering for the people. God sent His Son to be the lamb for all of us. In spite of His own sinlessness, Jesus did not condemn. Jesus did not condemn the woman caught in sin, but told her not to sin any more. We need to take Jesus' example in not condemning others.
