Few of the' spectators who had
witnessed one of the most exciting
tournament finals gave the Bulls any
chance of knotting the count against
the experienced Harvesters, but they
were proven
The .. * Bulls Managed to
work the puck into the Harvesters
zone . 1 . 'lb Smith finally getting to
the bench in favor of an extra at-
tacker, Grand Valley coughed up the
puck behind their own net and it end-
ed up in front where Kevin Wheeler
was left alone and he made no
mistake as he drilled a shot into an
open corner to send the game into
overtime.
The Bulls dominated play in the ex-
tra session after killing off the
balance of the Fritz penalty and Mike
Vincent became the hero when he
jammed the puck into the net for the
tournament championship at the 4:44
mark.
The wide open game, which
featured plenty of end to end action,
plus some heavy hitting, was certain-
ly the best game of the tournament.
Wheeler ended up with three goals
to pace the Bulls, who trailed
throughout most of the game after
taking an early 1-0 Lead.
Murray Hunter had three goals for
Grand Valley, who potted three
powerplay tallies, while the Bulls had
one.
Capsule comments on the other
games are as follows:
