sun? Well, a Happy New Year to one
and all, and many mbre.
We've had a busy holiday season,
thanks to all who have made it en-
joyable for the residents.
The young people of the Conser-
vative Mennonite Church gathered on
Christmas Eve to sing carols for the
residents, as did the Lutheran Young
people. A special thanks for ventur-
irtout 'Rae storm.
iditnta'-rfar iffiate enough to be
able to be out for Christmas were Mr.
Aaron Gingerich, Mrs. Hilda Shapton,
Mr. Loftus Denomme, Mrs. Violet
Huntley, Mrs. Valeria Armstrong,
Mrs. Mabel Glenn, Mrs. Mary Gerber
and Mr. Stephen Molnar.
The sympathy of residents and staff
is extended to the family of the late
Mrs. Maggie Campbell.
Bingo was cancelled on Friday
evening due to the very stormy
weather.
We welcome our new resident, Mrs.
Olive Gable of the Zurich area.
Since January is usually a very
quiet month after the hustle and bus-
tle of the Christmas season, we would
welcome any groups who might wish
to provide entertainment for the
residents.
Mr. and Mrs. Eric Luther and son,
along with other friends, had charge
of the chapel service on Sunday even-
ing. The residents commented on the
beautiful worship service, and we
thank you for venturing out in such
stormy weather.

Hello again! We here at Queensway
hope everyone has had a safe and
happy holiday. We all did. Now for the
news!
On Monday, December 23, Father
Mooney came in to provide our
Catholic residents with a Christmas
Mass in the morning. Later that day,
the Hensall Presbyterian Church
ladies came in and ran Bingo for us.
We had a good turn -out and everyone
really enjoyed themselves. Tea, cof-
fee and a snack were shared follow-
ing the bingo.
On Tuesday afternoon, Rev. Stan
McDonald provided our residents
with a lovely Christmas church ser-
vice. Muriel Gunning lit the Advent
candles for the service. Thank you,
Muriel. As a special treat Rev.
McDonald brought with him the
junior choir from the United Church.
They did a wonderful job singing
Christmas carols and hymns for us.
Belva Fuss was the pianist and Ilazel
Corbett came as a volunteer.
On Christmas day our residents
kept busy opening Christmas presents
and several went nut to family and
friends' homes to celebrate. Our kit-
chen staff did an excellent job prepar-
ing the Christmas dinner. Everyone
has been talking about it for days!
All of us at Queensway wish to
welcome Mrs. Luella Hall to our
home. Also Happy Birthday to Asa
Deeves who celebrated his birthday
on Sunday, December 29.
Quote of the week: "Be happy. It's
a way of being wise."
