Cam Doig was back with his second successful shot of the game near the -six minute mark of the second frame to put the Exeter club on even terms with the Tigers. Assisting on three- way passing combination were Jim Benn and Barry Baynham. Three minutes later, Jim Benn hit the Arthur 'net on a pass from Bill Glover to put the Mohawks ahead for the second time. Later in the period, Jim Kramp tallied for Arthur and the game was all tied up at 3-3. The third was eight minutes old when captain Randy Kraul fired what proved to be the winning score with Barry Baynham and Jeff Rowe pro- viding the assists. Only 43 seconds later, the insurance counter was notched by Steve Prout on a pass from Pete Tuckey. Referee Rick Singleton handed out nine minor penalties to the Mohawks and five to the visiting Tigers. Only the second goal for Arthur come on a power play attempt. The Mohawks have 23. points on 10 wins and three ties in 19 starts. The second place Elora Rocks with a 22 point total have two games in hand. A scheduled visit by the Exeter club to Elora Friday night was cancelled because of adverse weather conditions. The next league start for the Mohawks will be Sunday in New Hamburg. They will be participating in the Palmerston 81's intermediate B and C tournament with the first game against the Harriston Blues on January 10 at 9:30 p.m. In Sunday's win over Arthur, the Mohawks overcame a first period 2-1 deficit with two goals in each of the second and third periods. Both goalies, Louis Arts of the Mohawks and Arthur's Steve Baker turned in an excellent effort throughout a very ex- citing contest. The only score for Exeter came from the stick of Glen Hines on passes from Craig Schwartzentruber and Chris Lerikos. WINS CYCLE HuIIy Gully's 1986 Honda Sneak Preview was held November 29, 30 and December 1. The Sneak Preview was the first retail showing of the 1986 motorcycle lineup and proved to be an outstanding success, especially for Mrs. Grace Steeper.
