McRann has been able to take his pacers and trotters into the winners circle on more than 800 occa- sions with purses in excess of a million and a half dollars. Ile has been one of the most regular and consistent drivers at WFR since the Dundas street east facility open- ed for the first time under the lights racing in the province of Ontario. About 95 percent 'of the horses Mcltann has raced over the years %vete raised by himself. Ile says, -You get a little more kick out of rac- ing a horse you have raised from a Royals win fourth in row A three run home run by third ',aseman Will Lamb in the bottom of the sixth inning. Ilderton took the lead in the top of the fourth by plating two runs only to have Ex- eter tie it in the bottom of the fourth. Ilderton again took the lead in the fifth by scoring twice. however, the Royals put the game away in the bot- tom of the inning by scoring tour times on three hits and three walks highlighted by Lamb's home run. 1I- derton managed a run in the seventh inning but could come no closer. Dart ('arnp chalked up his lastest mite of 1.59 at Detroit as a seven year- old and during his illustrious career won 70 races and purses of $479,954. Ile was twice named Canadian aged trotter of the year. The popular trotter also set other track records. Ile went in 2.01.1 at the since abandoned Garden ('ity track in St. Catherrnes, hit 2.00.2 at Mohawk and tied the Greenwood mark of 2.00.1. McRann has a three-year old trot- ting colt eligible for Ontario Sire Stakes races this summer. Ile is Bay Camp by Palm Bay out of Deaconess which is a full sister to Dart Camp. Another of McHann's favourites is Ellie Dale who is still racing at Wind- sor Raceway and has compiled earn- ings of $81,000 from :14 victories. Ellie Dale is a Championdale half-sister to Smokey Fella. The latter mare earn- ed more than $184.000 and time trial- ed in Lexington, Kentucky in 1.57.2.
