Weekend guests with Hugh and An-
nie A1ot'enz were Chit and Shirley
Dell. their daughter Tanya and Cyn-
thia. all of Belleville and the girls'
grandma. Mrs. Ethel Dell. of Kissini-
Inee, Florida. On Monday June to we
all attended the graduation service
for Clinton Dell. when he received his
B.Sc. in Computer Science.

good attendance.
Guest speaker tor the evening was
Rob Ilavens from the Mitchell Public
School staff. who gave an interesting
talk on computers. and how they will
be used as tools in our educational
System.
Mrs. Peggy Kerslake also spoke to
the 411 members. describing. her
duties as food supervisor at a nursing
hone.
'Che three 411 clubs sponsored by the
Stal fa %►'omen's hist itule, each set up
their exhibit on the project just com-
graduated from Bayside Secondary
school in Belleville as an Ontario
scholar. Ile was awarded the
Belleville Federation of Musicians
award and was the recipient of the"
Silver Medal from the Royal ('onser-
vatory of Music. Ile is an accomplish-
ed trumpet player 'having played in
bands in and around Belleville and'1'.V. He attended Humber College in
Toronto to stIdy music for one year.
also one year at Ottawa University
and the last three years at Western in
London, where he played trumpet in
an 18 piece jazz ensemble..
He has accepted employment at
Xerox in Toronto as an Associate Pro-
grammer analyst.
Sports
The Shipka Mites plated a horse
game with Port Franks on June 4.
Score was 21 - 7 for Port Franks.
Erin O'I(ourke and 1)ody Sweitzer
did some good pitching for Shipka.
and Jennifer Weigand' caught one fly.
The Shipka Pee Wee's coached by
Wayne Ratz and Ted Hayward,
.played their first game of the season
on June 5. defeating East Williams
35-18. at the Nairn hall field.

the president Mrs. Kay Smale and the
treasurer Mrs. Joyce Vivian. Presen-

Templeman, Janice Vivian and
Renee Drost for successfully com-
pleting 18. 411 projects.

Women's Institute for sponsoring the
411 Clubs and rewarding them for
their achievements.
The first vice president Mrs.
Florence McPhail conducted the
business portion reminding everyone
that the next meeting would be held
at the township hall on July 3.
Plans are underway for sponsoring
a local girl for the Queen of the Fair
at Mitchell in September and plans
finalized for the food booth at a sale
in the village on Saturday. June 1.
