The second and probably most im-
portant move is the change of venue

gates opening Friday night at 6:30
p:m. The first show in the arena at 8

ceremonies.

ty of God. the people were also
dedicated to God, to fulfill God's pur-

Just as God has chosen and set
apart the people of Israel for himself,

A Smile or Two
Middle age is the time in life when
you stop criticizing the older genera-
tion and start criticizing the younger
one .
The man who thinks he is a big shot
is usually the first person to get Tired.
Rev. Roger Mason spoke from
Mark 8:31-33 Sunday morning, on the
transition shown when one grows in
the things of God. Many times after
a great spiritual,revival, a church will
become formal instead of continuing
to move on with the Spirit of God. In
these verses Peter resisted a change
in Jesus' life, but Jesus rebuked his
attitude.
-1 ev. Mason reviewed major
spiritual changes in his life style. As
a young teenager he accepted the
Lord as his Saviour. Ile went on to Bi-
ble School, to be anassistant pastor.
then a Bible College teacher, finally
to be a full time pastor. Ile said he
grew in the things of God during these
changes.
People often resist change because
they have the wrong perspective.
Everything changes around us, but
God and ilis Word never changes. •r
('hristians can move on as God
moves. In this Scripture, the disciples
saw no need of change. although
Jesus had been teaching them about
If is death and resurrection.
Peter resisted this prediction of
Jesus' death, because Peter had a
man's mind, not God's. Change can
devastate Christians if they do not
flow with it. Peter was almost
devasted by .(esus' death. Rut .(esus
had assured Peter before this that Ile
had prayed for him. After Jesus'
resurrection. Peter was reconciled to
Jesus and his perspective changed.

nic, at Market St. Park. If i1 rains. it
will be held in the Fellowship 1Ix11 of
the church.
From Neheniiati 12:27-30 Rev.
Roger Mason Sunday- evening spoke
of the dedication of the walls ot
Jerusalem. Dedication is not a formal
religious ceremony, as the building or
the people are set apart for worship-
ping the Lord. and events that glorit5
God.
For the dedication ceremonies, the
people sought out those who were.tu
