The president, Mrs. Charles Douglas opened the meeting with a poem, Miracle of Spring. The devotions, led by Mrs. Scott, were based on the theme,let your light shine. The light of Christ must first be in our hearts before we can let it shine for others. The light is for all people. For her topic, Mrs. James Miller read two brief articles Why Did God Create Mothers? and Have a Good Day. Mrs. Ben Stoneman led the study on human rights in Korea. Social hour is to follow. Mr. Tom Kooy attended the 134th session of Synod of the Diocese of Huron of the Anglican church at Althouse College, London on Monday. Tom is the lay -delegate from St. Patrick's Church, Saintsbury. Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Brandon. Heather and Catherine of Uxbridge. Mrs. Ron Brittain, Jeremy and Megan of Richmond Hill spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Powe. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bowden were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Jaques and family, Zion for a family dinner in celebration of Monter's Day. The sympathy of the community is extended to Mr. and Mrs. Brent Caslick in the death of Brent's grand- mother, Mrs. Martin of Walkerton, formerly of Clifford. Family Service Mrs. Alex Miller told the children's story The Stone on the Hill at the Christian Family service on Sunday. The Sunday School superintendent, Alice Gardiner, presented memory work diplomas to Becky Martin, for part 1 Beginners, Christen Miller and Julie Martyn, part 2 Beginners.
