Year and Shirley Walkom received the Order of the Rose for 15 years
as a faithful member.
Seniors learn about
homebound program
'Exeter Senior Citizens held their
May meeting with the president Ruby
Beaver presiding. After opening ex-
ercises the business part of the
meeting was conducted.
Mildred Thomson reported on the
spring. rally at Clinton- April 17 at
which there was an attendance of 118
from the zone. At this meeting
Mildred Thomson was installed as
zone secretary and Alice Bowen.
assistant Irene Johns who served as
zone secretary for eight years
tendered her resignation.
Card convener reported sending
three get well cards. A moment's
.- silence was observed in memory of
Pearl Petske.
It was decided that June 18 t with
second choice Wed. July 31 will be the
dates to attend social day at Huron -
view. A yard and bake sale will be
held at Mildred Thomson's residence,
181 William St. on May 25 commenc-
ing at 9 a.m.
USCO is sponsoring a moon walk
May 25 -June 2. Each member is ask-
ed to keep track of distance they walk.
-.Birthdays and anniversaries were
reported and congratulated. Next
meeting will be picnic pot luck at 5:30
Tuesday, June 4:
The program chaired by Ruth Skin-
ner opened by a sing song followed by
solos by Marlene ;gathers.

co-ordinator, Huron Day Centre for
the homebound. She showed slides of
several patients attending day care,
and gave a very informative talk. On
behalf of the club, Lauretta Taylor ex-
pressed thanks to Mrs. Armstrong.
Several musical numbers were
given by Ella Frayne, Dorothy
Bullock and Russ Brintnell.

ceremony was performed by Rev.
Robt. Ripley on April 20, in Byron
United Church. Ruth is the
younger daughter of Spencer and
Doris Jeffery, Staffa. Stephen is
the only son of Jack and June
May of London. The bride and
groom ore residing in Cheshom
Estates, London.
