Third period decides
Two unanswered goals in the third
period provided the difference
Wednesday night as the Mohawks

deciding contest.
Although the Falcons scored the
first goal of the game, the Mohawks
came back with two first period goals

Waxers lose
The Exeter Waxers ended the
1984-85 season recently as they drop-
ped two of three games in a Shamrock
novice tournament in Mt. Brydges.
The Waxers lost 2-1 to the host Mt.
Brydges team, downed Thamesford
3-1 and dropped a 3-2 decision to
Wallaceburg.
The highlight of the tourney for the
Waxers came in the final game which
was for the consolation championship
when Sean McCann- scored his 50th
goal of the year.
In the opening loss to Mt. Brydges,
Ted Hoffman notched the only Exeter
score on a three-way passing com-
bination with Sean McCann and Rob
Wagner.
Captain Sean McCann was the
leading light for the Waxers in the vic-
tory over Thamesford with one goal
and assists on goals fired by Chris
McDonald and Ted Hoffman. Others
assisting were Jamie van Dam, Hoff-
man and McDonald.
Against Wallaceburg, Exeter
marksmen were Rob Wagner on a
pass from Ted Hoffman and Sean
McCann's half century goal on an
unassisted effort.
Tuckey finished off a well developed
passing play with ltyan and Atthill to
put the Mohawks ahead when the
period came to a close.
Early in the middle frame, Terry
Davidson notched the second
Teeswater goal with assists going to
captain Kent Cerson and Dan
Davidson.
At 14:12, Jamie Caldwell shot the
Mohawks in front again with assists
provided by Bryan Baker and Barry
Baynham only to have Kelly put

What proved to be the winning goal
came from the stick of Pete Tuckey
of the Mohawks at 2:16 of the third
period on an unassisted effort.
Bryan Bakernotched an insurance
marker with less than four minutes to
go on passes from Randy Kraul and
