at Dashwood production

•'Dash into Spring" fashion show
sponsored by the Dashwood and Area
Business Association with the theme
Getaway '85 was carried out on a wall
mural artistically designed and
painted by Ruthanne Merner. Air
Canada Flight '85 took off from Inter-
national Airport and landed in
England, France, Germany, Italy
and Greece.
Business Association president,
Bernice Boyle welcomed the audience
and thanked the business people who
participated.
Models were Annmarie Hoffman,
Bernice Boyle, Vesta Miller, Diane
Becker, Donna Hoffman, Kathy
Hayter, Joan Williamson, Terry
Heywood, Dean annul, tuella
Tieman.
The Children's models: Shannon
Boyle, Matthew Rowe, Miranda and
Melissa Hayter, Lisa Wareham. Kel-
ly Hoffman, Stacey Rader, Todd
Hunkin and Ted Hoffman. The preci-
sion team from Exeter entertained
with acrobatics.
Marion Sharrow, Floristy Shoppe
Dashwood, made centre pieces which
were given away in draws. Gift cer-
tificates from Little People and Look-
ing Good, a portable radio from Zim-
mer's TV and a honeymoon package
from Bright's Wine were also given
as door prizes.
Helpers for adult models were Nan-
cy Becker, Jill Kipfer, Brenda
Schroeder and Linda Arnold, Nancy
Rader and Mary Ann Boyle for the
children.
The kitchen staff with leaders, Ron
Merner and Ruth Stire and Nancy
Nutt did an excellent job.
Personals
The funeral service for Mervyn
Tiernan was held at the Hoffman
Funeral Home. Wednesday. March 20
with Rev. R. Peebles and Rev. J. Getz
officiating. Pallbearers were Bill
Chandler, Jack Cudmore, Leo Gib-
son, Bill Vanderworp, Dan Hagel and
Bill Hoffman.
Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Mason and
Joe and Judy Simpson of Mississauga
flew from Toronto to Rainy River
where they spent a week with Mr. and
Mrs. John Mason and family. While
there they celebrated the twins' t Judy
and John) birthdays.
Flowers in both churches Sunday.
were from the funeral of Mervyn
Tiernan placed in loving memory by
his family. Flowers in the Lutheran
church were also from the family of
Elgin Adams.
Mrs. Marj. Bailey, Tillsonburg,
spent a few days with her -Aster
Maida and Don Gaiser.
Martha Hindley, London, spent a
few days with her mother, Mrs.
Emilie Miller. They were joined by
Colin Hindley and Lorna and Harold
Main of Kitchener to celebrate Mrs.
Miller's birthday.
Lloyd Willert has returned home
from University Hospital.
Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Travis, Mr.
and Mrs. Craig Travis and Christina
Grimsby, were Sunday callers with
Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Pfile.

Good Friday
event planned
The Exeter Ministerial has for
some years sponsored the annual
Good Friday Service wherein the
whole community of Exeter par-
ticipates. This year the coMmunity-
wide service will be held in the Exeter
United Church. under the leadership
of the Christian Reformed Church.
Speaker for this service will be the
Rev. Bernard De Jonge and assisting
in music will be M De Haan. A
quartet will also bring special music.
The offering will be received for the
work of the Canadian Bible Society.

is the King and Saviour of the Church
universal. wherein we, as separate
denominations are united by faith and
loyalty to our common Head - Jesus
