A grant of $200 was approved to the
Exeter Agricultural Society and $60
to the Hensall Spring Fair Calf Club.
In a review of a statement of the
Exeter and area fire board, reeve
Prout informed council that at the end
of 1984 fiscal year, the total reserve
for replacement of the pumper stands
at $45,417.26 of which $14,494.87 is
Usborne's contribution.
Prout also said the area fire board
will have an estimated $23,006 surplus
from 1984 oueratons and Usborne's
share of this would be 33 percent or
$7,590.18.
Road superintendent John Batten
reported his department had been
operating without the use of one
grader which was broken down, but,
hopefully will be back in operation
soon.
Reeve Prout told council he would
be attending a conference of the
association of Municipalities of On-
tario in Ottawa from August 25 to 28.
In future all business taxes in ar-
rears at the end of each fiscal year
will be sumbitted for collection by
Small Claims Court or the Sheriff's
office.
Deputy clerk -treasurer Sandra
Strang has been authorized to attend
the 1985 spring tax collector's
seminar in Windsor, April 18 and 19.
The gravel contract for 1985 was let
to C.R. Chittick Constructon Ltd. for
