The peewees will be in St. Marys Sunday to participate in the
annual Shamrock league finals. Currently in OMHA play in CC
ranks, the locals competed in a tournament in Mitchell on the

and Fergus were certainly helpful in keeping his boys sharp for
the upcoming series with Dresden.

Plenty of millionaires
Sport Magazine recently carried an interesting article regar-
ding the salaries of the highest paid athletes and we will list a few
of.these.
Many of these sound as if they are way out of proportion to
what they should earn or deserve, but, in comparison to people like
Johnny Carson, Phyllis Diller, Joan Rivers and Frank Sinatra to
name only a few celebrities, the athletes' salaries may be only a
drop in the bucket.

Who will win?
Since the 1984 World Series between the Detroit Tigers and the
San Diego Padres we have heard several speculations as to what
would have happened if the Chicago Cubs had won the National
League pennant and met the Tigers in the annual fall classic.
For body still interested, you won't have long to wait to
find out which club would have been the winner . A What -If World
Series is being put together. ,
Tiger radio announcer Ernie Harwell has simulated such a series
based on results received from a computer with all statistics and
records of both clubs punched in.
The only thing Harwell has revealed to date is that the series
went to a seventh and final game and he will be doing a re-creation
of the deciding contest on WJR Radio at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday,
'March 3. For anyone missing the first broadcast it will be repeated
as part of Sports Rap at 7:05 p.m.., the following evening.
Harwell did add that the pitchers for the final game of the make-
believe 1984 World Series will be Jack Morris of the Tigers add
Rick Sutcliffe for the Cubs.
Second try
The Exeter Mohawks won the two
games they needed this week to reach
the WOAA intermediate A group
finals, but, they will still have to win
one more.
Due to a protest, the Mohawks 4-1
win over Wingham in Hensall Thurs-
day night has been taken away and a
replay ordered. The Wingham club
protested the eligibility of Cam Doig
of the Mohawks.
Exeter manager Doc Campbell
said he was given verbal permission
early in the season to use the Seaforth
resident, but that has been disclaim-
ed by WOAA officials. On this basis,
the club has agreed to replay the
game in question.
It will be played tomorrow night,
