Robert Matheson was .in charge of the First Sunday In Lent church service on Sunday morning. Rev. Matheson told the children a story entitled "Bow Aside". He had pictures of a bow, a rainbow, and a church in a boat. The Scripture Lesson was read from Genesis 9:8-14, I Peter 3: 18-22, Mark 1: 9-15. The sermon was entitl- ed "No Finality To Truth - No Finali- ty To Love:" Sermon: • In Genesis God deals a blurt., against worldly evil: In Christ God 'deals a blow against Cosmic evil. (Fuller suggests this passage) from Peter may be a' sort of preparatory notation or instruction for those adults who want to be baptised as to how to orepare themselves for the event. dy MRS. WILLIAM ROHDE Twenty-six people attended the first Fellowship Group meetingon Sunday evening in the church basement. Mrs. Robert Matheson announced the songs, In The Garden, The Old Rugg- ed Cross and There's A Church In the Valley accompanied by Mrs. Phil Johns on the piano. Rev. Robert Matheson read the Scripture from Isaiah 55, the medita- tion and led in prayer. Mrs. Reg Hodgert played the piano, He and How Great Thou Art which was much enjoyed. Mrs. Glen Stewart welcomed everyone and called on Don and Anne Bray who along with others were recently to Australia. Don and Anne showed pictures of Australia, Hawaai and Fiji Island. Anne gavea wonder- ful commentary. Arnold Cann also spoke a few words of his and Marion's experiences in those above named places. Glen Stewart thanked Don and Anne and Jean for their Contributions to the meeting and they were presented with a gift. There were many momentos, pic- tures, etc. of the above mentioned countries. The next meeting will be held on March 17 when Pastor Ross and Mrs. Hargreaves of Kintore will show their pictures of the Passion Play which they recently attended. Mr. and Mrs. Ployd Cooper and Doug, Mr. and Mrs. Danny Smith, Chad and Courtney of Elimville, Miss Joan Cooper, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Dunlop of London, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hulley of R.R.
