Pictures Enjoyed
A very pleasant evening was spent
at the Fellowship hour in the Hensall
United Church Sunday when Eric
Mansfield showed most interesting
pictures of many former residents,
clergymen, weddings and special
events of former years.
Plans are underway to present
more such pictures. A social hour
followed • under the supervision of
Dorothy Brintnell and Mary Lou
l l yde.
Unit 11
Unit II held their February meeting
in the church Parlour on Tuesday
evening with ten present.
Diane Gerstenkorn chaired the
meeting and opened with a poem call-
ed "Daily Valentine". She handed
everyone a piece of paper with the
words "Love is" at the top for each
to fill in with their own thoughts. They
were read during the meeting.
The devotional was taken by
Eleanor Mansfield and opened with a
hymn "Faith of Our Fathers",
Eleanor's meditation told us faith
enables us to contemplate the whole
game rather than a single inning. One
inning may go against us, but faith
knows that one inning is not the end
of the world. We must have faith in
the future. She closed with "Lead On
Oh King Eternal" and prayer. The
minutes were read and the Roll call
was answered with a Valentine
thought or verse. Letters of thanks
were read from Rothhome and the
Blind Mission International. Leader
of the Unit, Mona Alderice conducted
the business. A delicious Valentine
lunch was served by our hostesse
Hazel Corbett and Jeanette Tyrner.
Hensall Bantams
The Hensall Bantams came close to
their first loss on February 16, 1985
when they tied 4-4 with Huron Park.
The teams were well matched with
the action hot and heavy during the
whole game. The first period.was
scoreless. 1Tensalt's Jim Dickins

period, to put his team ahead. Hensall
opened the third period with a blast
as they scored three goals with six
minutes. They were scored by Jason
Imanse, Brian Moir assisted by Chris
Campbell and Jim Dickins, assisted
by Brian Moir and Chris Campbell
with five rninutes left in the game.
Hensall let up and Huron Park took
advantage and started their attack.
Rob Wareing in net turned in an ex-
ceptional game and because of him
Hensall was able to pull out a tie.
Huron Park's first goal bounced off
Wareing's shoulder and into the net.
Their second goal was deflected off
Wareing's team mate's foot. The
clock had turned to all zero's and Hen-
sall fans had completed the count
down when Huron Park scored the ty-
ing goal. After some debate the of-
ficials declared that one second had
been left on the clock.
Hensall will host Lucan on Wednes-
day 20 at 8:30. This game was snow-
ed out last week.

When doing off -oil
conversions we have
never left anyone
without heat
overnight.
That's right. Sometimes
it means working a long
day, but we have never
yet failed to hove the
new furnace going
before we quit.
So you don't have to
pass up the chance to
get in on the off -oil
grant, which ends on
March 31st, for fear that
we leave you in a cold
house.
We wouldn't do that.
But please eat lunch at
Mother's.
