As it carne to a stop in Exeter, the driver noticed a cloud of steam. the top radiator hose had split. A Mr. Donald Dearing, of RR 1 Exeter saw the bus had stopped and came to ask if he could help. When told of the problem he prompt- ly set out to find somebody to help. After a lot of effort he returned with Mr. Bill Hooper, of Laidlaw Transport. Mr. Hooper was unable to tind a hose to fit, so promptly made one. and our bus was back on the road. All this did not take long and 1 am sure that both of these men did not realize the service they had done, but when you consider they both gave up their time on a Sunday afternoon to help people from another city who they did not know, and in helping, sav- ed about 30 young people and their parents in Kitchener, from standing around in the cold, for the four or so hours it would have taken to get a pari out from Kitchener, you will ap- SECOND PLACE - Waterford Tri -Cots captain Mike Procyk accepts the Exeter Hawks tournament runner-up banner from executive member Gerald Willis. Both Perth County ('ouncil and Ox- ford County ('ouncil have had similar requests made of them. The financial requests represents what the Stratford General Hospital Building Fund considers Huron's share of the $17 million project at the hospital. The hospital plans to replace its RECTI (Rehabilitated and Extend- ed ('are Unit' which is the original Stratford General Hospital. Huron's share represents 6.8 per cent of the total. E. Peter Derrick was celebrant bf -the Holy Eucharist assisted by Richard Moore as server and David ,tones as crucifer. The organist was Mrs. Norman Hodgins. The lessons were read by Lisa Moore and Lois Herbert and th( Gospel was read by the rector. The Rev. Derrick preached his ser- mon from Ephesians 3:1-12.
