The annual "Birthday Par-
ty for Jesus", held the Sunday
evening before Christmas in
Goshen church, was a happy
celebration, with carol sing-
ing for all and art activities
for the children.
"Christmas All Year" was

PUBLIC MEETING CONCERNING A PROPOSED OF-
FICIAL PLAN AND ZONING BY-LAW AMENDMENT
TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Exeter Will
hold o public meeting on January 31 1985, at 7:30 p.m. at South Huron Rec
Centre to consider a proposed Official Plan Amendments under Section 17
(2) of The Planning Act, and proposed Zoning By-law Amendments under
Section 34 of the Planning Act.
The proposed Official Plan Amendment would change the Plan designa-
tion of various lands within the Town as a result of a five year review of
the Official Plan by the Town of Exeter. The Council feels that the proposed
land use changes are appropriate, and represent good land use planning
for the municipality. These Official Plan changes are noted on the attached
map entitled "Official Plan Amendments.'
The proposed zoning amendments would then rezone the affected proper-
ties from their present zoning to be in conformity with the proposed Of-
ficial Plan changes. These changes are noted on the attached map entitled
"Zoning 8y -law Amendments".
ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting and/or make written or ver-
bal representation either in support of -or in opposition to the proposed Of-
ficial Plan and Zoning Amendments,
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION relating to the -propt Sect -Official Plan Amend-
ments and proposed Zoning By-law Amendments is available at the
municipal offices during normal buisness hours.
The location of the public meeting is the South Huron Recreation Centre,
at -9-4 Victoria Street East, Exeter, Ontario.

dian citizenship. also the view
from Miss Brown's home in
Nova Scotia and scenes taken
at Kennedy Space Centre.
Birthday cake and freshie
or coffee were enjoyed while
people visited.
Wilfred Chuter tells us that
about till years ago we had no
winter. Ile and his father pull-
ed cedars out of unfrozen
ground in the bush in late
January and planted a hedge,
and every tree grew.
There is a fair amount of
activity at the Sports Com-
plex, with some people enjoy-
ing shuffleboard on Wednes-
day nights and fitness classes
on Monday and Wednesday
mornings and evenings.
--Volfeybeatt was se`duled for
Thursday nights, but a pro-
blem has to beresolved. It is
too slippery from the wax us-
ed for dances and
shuffleboard.
The Orange Lodge euchre
parties are getting underway
on Friday nights. Alternating
as usual with the Oddfellows
card parties at Brucefield.
Bill and Joyce Dowson
hosted the Jewitt family
gathering, when 48 of them
celebrated the holiday on the
Saturday preceeding
Christmas.
Mervyn and Margaret
Hayter were hosts for the
Glenn Christmas on Thursday
December 27. There were fif-
teen of them from Toronto,
Exeter, Windsor, etc.
Bob and June Webster and
girls spent Christmas with
other family members at Ben
and Nettie Tinney's in Exeter.
The McAsh family
Christmas was held on Satur-
day, December 29 at Murray
and Peggy Morrison's in
Ilderton.
Ruth Johnston spent a few
days with Doug and Shirley
Proctor and family in Kit-
chener, and Christmas Day
with Doug's family in Clinton.
Bill and Helen Taylor had
Bill's mother and all their
family home for Christmas.

gram lined up to end the holi-
day season. The movie
"Snowball Express" (Wall

Friday afternoon, we are
offering a "Cabbage Patch
Skating Party." All moms,
dads and grandparents of
Cabbage Patchers are
welcome to attend. Admission
Youngsters wishing to enter
the colouring contest should
pick up the pictures at the
Rec. Centre prior to Friday
and bring their coloured pic-
tures to the skating party. The
skating party goes from 2:00
- :3:30 p.m., Friday.
Youngsters who pre -register

chocolate and donut.
The South Huron Recrea-
tion Centre and the Exeter
Greys ladies fastball team,
have once again combined ef-
forts to offer the second an-
nual mixed sno-pitch tourna-
ment on Saturday, January 12
at the Rec Centre. Entry fee
this year is $80. per team with
prize money totalling $750.

dance will follow the tourna-
ment in the hall. Entry
deadline is Monday January
