Rc v. Robert Matheson was
in charge of the Christmas
church s: ^vice. He told the
children a story by lighting
the fourth candle in the Ad-
vent Wreath. The first one
was the Prophecy Candle, the
second was Shepherd Candle,
the third one the Bethlehem
Candle and the fourth one the
Angels Candle. .
The choir sang two
numbers "Let Earth Receive
Her King" and "Noel We
Sing". The Scripture Lesson
was read from 2 Samuel 7:1-5,
7-16, Romans 16:25-27, Luke
1:26-38.
The sermon was entitled
"King Without A Home".
David feels guilty God has
no home on earth - wants to
build -a Temple.Nathan pro-
mises God is going to give
David a legacy far beyond the
greatest imaginings. David is
reminded of his own humble
beginnings.
David's heir is going to be
God's Son. We, during Ad-
vent, look for the David who
is yet to come.
(Nathan was the one to con-
sult when you wanted to know
the will of God). The Ark of
the Covenant had to dwell in
the Tent of Meetin - a place of
low status while David had
more status living in a palace.
David sensed the two roles
had become reversed.
Rev. Robert Matheson
spoke a minute for Mission
entitled "Crisis: Critical Care
Unit". The church service
closed with the singing of Go
Tell It On the Mountain.
The Christmas Eve Service
on Monday evening at Elim-
ville Church was very well at-
_ tended. The C.G.I.T. Girls
and their leader Mrs. Murray
Dawson assisted with the ser-
vice. The elders of Both chur-
ches served communion. Rev.
Robert Matheson gave the
message.
Rev. Robert Matheson was

vice, Sunday morning. He
told the chiln a story entitl-
ed "How WHY Candles". The
choir sang "The Norwegian
Carol". The sermon was en--
titled
n=titled "Jesus - Our Growing
Edge".
The promise is repeated
that God has something
wonderful in store for the
remnant of those who believe
in Him.
Christ the pioneer of human
salvation - our brother who
allowed himself to be broken
for our sake. - came to deliver
us from fear and human bon-
dage - Jesus is in solidarity
with God's creation - com-
plete solidarity.
Rev. Matheson spoke on a
