Paulen, of Michell played a number of violin duets, with,)Joan Henwood of Goderich accompaning them at- the piano. This was followed by some very humerous and interesting poetry by David Foster of Toronto. This program was immensely en- joyed by all. Christmas carols were sung with great delight by all members. The project will provide training and experience in the museum setting to six local long -termed unemployed workers. Participants in this project will be trained in skills that will be directly transferable to the private sector such as c-omputer data input, inven- tory control, artifact handling, photography and preservation. Job development is one of six thrusts that together make up Employment and Immigration Canada's new Canadian Jobs Strategy announced by Flora Mac- Donald in June. Job Development's focus is on improving the long-term employment prospects of the long term unemployed through a combina- tion of on-the-job and classroom train- ing lasting up to 52 weeks.
