Hawks losing streak continues
The Exeter Hawks continued in
he doldrums this week as they drop-
ped four contests, being out -scored
34-15 by the opposition in those
contests.
The busy week got off to a had start
with an -11-5 drubbing in Lucan, then
came two straight losses to the Bel-
mont, Bombers and finished up with
a 6-2 loss to Thamesford at home,
Sunday.
This week, the locals travel to Bel-
mont for a Saturday night contest and
then host the Tavistock Braves at the
rec centre on Sunday night at 7:30
p.m.
The team may have been the vic-
tims of an executive decision when
they took to the ice in Lucan to start
the busy week. The Irish, upset over
being denied entry to the Hawks an-
nual tournament in January due to
late arrival of their fee, look out their
anger on the Hawks.
The Irish jumped into a 3-0 lead in
the first and then both teams forgot
about defence as they pumped 13
pucks into the nets in the final two
frames.
Brad Muir had a natural hat -trick
with three successive goals, while
Dean Doerr also netted three. Scott
Denomy added two for the Irish and
singles came off the sticks of Jeff
Hodgins, 'Paul Foran and Brent
Martin.
