The service at St. Andrews on Sun-
day December 8, celebrated the
Sacrament of Baptism. The ministry
of music was .provided by the choir
singing "I want to sing about
Christmas". Barbara Cooper accom-
panied at the organ.
Christine Cooper lit the Advent can-
dle of Preparation and reminded the
congregation that "As John the Bap-
tist prepared the way for Jesus so we
must prepare ourselves for
Christmas".
In the children's story Rev. Lorne
Keays explained that as we can see
the water mark on a sheet of bond
paper by holding it up to the light, we
in the Sacrament of Baptism present
the baby to the light of Jesus.
In his sermon Rev. Keays enlarg-
ed on the same theme, emphasizing
that the Sacrament of Baptism is an
ongoing family and congregational af-
fair in which all are involved in
guiding the child and providing a lov-
ing christian community in which to
live.
Kim and Gary Love presented their
daughter Lindsay Amanda Love for
Baptism.
