Some families helped in previous years are now knitting for the Bpreau, or giving in some other way. Mrs. Rivers said many families can manage to cope during the year. but Christmas puts extra pressure on their resources. She revealed one let- ter the Bureau received saying "This service has been a real blessing for our family." Being on the receiving end is often hard to take, especially for families who find themselves needing help for the first time in their lives. For this reason. the Bureau carefully guards the identity of recipient families. Its work is based on the triple tenets of concern. compassion and confidentiality. Those giving to the..Christmas Bureau forego the pleasure that comes with personally delivering .a gift. Their reward comes in fulfilling the wishes of the One who is at the cen tre of Christmas, who said when giv- ing not; to let your right hand know what your left hand is doing but pro- mised that your Father, who sees in secret. will reward you openly. ` 'AE t . ?.` betty♦* 4441.{ 17s W • . • Brk!ht"n A• Her Christmas 2T4 Sizes 14 - 44 14'/2 - 241/2` We have something for every tady on your list s Pre -Christmas Special Mffi` P al 20% off 4 4.1; A* 441* Entire Winter Stock for this week only Stocking Stuffers $1000 or less Layaway now for Christmas Sftecearil 8sseurr74U4 4i vp A.4 1 .44 v0d 383 Main St. Exeter 235-1412' Also London, Sarniasfs • ;':• t" Ks 'I qt 2 Beauty at 3 Times -Advocate, December 4, 1985 Page 7 Qp ado A.p A,s0 o Asa Aga Ahca c•,O Ads o.
