The Exeter Bank of Montreal press reporter competition was won by Anita Bos, RR 3 Blyth and Anita Wilts, RR 1 Auburn. Sandy Merrier, RR 1 Clinton was the gate sign winner, Kim Rintoul showed the best fleece and David Hayter, RR 1 Varna was the best novice beef member. The judging competition winners were Mike McGregor, RR 2 Kippen; Shanalee Ten Hag, Lana Jones and Sandy Shelley. President of the 4-11 Leaders Association Terry Smith said the 4-11 programs have changed in the past few years. He added, "Some good and bad points have arisen from this tran- sition. Gary Wilson, RR 2, Centralia was best in 4-11 horse clubs and Joan Bergsma,`RR t Londesboro had the top swine score. Poultry club prizes went to Murray Whyte, RR 2, Seaforth; Fred Peel, RR 1 Auburn; Henk Blom and Mary Dow, both of RR 3 Wingham. The champion 4-11 steer and Hols- tein calf were shown by Debbie Rin- toul, RR 2, Lucknow who also had the high sheep score and Dave Wheeler, RR 1, Bluevale, respectively. The lat- ter also had the highest Hostein calf score. The champion gilt and market pig were exhibited by Cathy Douglas, RR 1 Clifford and Gary Godkin, RR 1 Walton, respectively. The all-round showman was Scott Johnston, RR 2, Bluevale. He was showman. Other showman winners also champion sheep and top sheep were; Beef - Debbie Rintoul, Dairy - Perry Van Osch, Swine - Brent Robin- son and Horse - Cam Darling, RR 2, Dashwood. The dairy and beef silver dollar winners were Donna Johnston and Carol Rintoul. The top first -year swine member was Jennifer Proctor and Yorkshire winners were Cathy Douglas and Jennifer Proctor: Chris Michie had the champion Hereford calf. The top members in the snowmobile club were Denise Penn- ing, RR 1, Exeter and Rob Hoffman, RR 3 Dashwood. The Kippfield 441 calf club won with the best white bean and grain exhibits. The 4-H corn ex- hibit prize was won by the Huron sheep club and the Central Huron swine club had the champion 4-H •display. The tractor club and plowmen's club winners were William. Fother- ingham and Jeff McGavin and Paul Pentland was best in the farm safety club. Y R.O.S. staff.
