Fifteen tables of progressive euchre were in play. Winners were Ida McNaughton, Charlotte Barker, Ada Little, Helen Loft, Norman Reith, Art Ferguson. Lucky score winners were Helen Colvin and Ken Hardy. More euchre on November 27 with a pot -luck dinner at noon. Personals Rev. Robert Matheson was in charge of the regular church service Sunday morning. We sang "This. Is My Father's World" and Rev. Matheson told the children a story en- titled "Elijah: his faith; his friends." The choir sang "Building Yes Building". The scripture lesson was taken from 1 Kings 17:8-16, Hebrews 9:24-28, Mark 12:41-44. The sermon was entitl- ed "Establishing unity - Karma isn't instant". • "Establishing unity - Karma isn't Instant" 1 Kings - Widow had no visible means of support. In Jesus' eyes none of us have a visible means of spiritual support out side of him. Jesus, through his sacrifice, brings two worlds together. The widow is compared to 'honourable' people. HEBER DAVIS The A.C.W. of St. Patricks Church held a dessert euchre and progresive euchr eparty Wednesday with eight tables playing.. Winners were high score Jean Miller and Murray Carter, Lucan. Lone hands, Mrs. Swartz, Exeter and Rose Atkinson, Lucan playing a man's card. Low scores, Mrs. Shirley McAlpine, Ailsa Craig and Mrs. Audrey McRoberts, Exeter playing a man's card. A draw was held for two boxes of groceries and winners were Mrs. Olive Essery and.Tom Kooy. Service was held at St. Patrick's early Sunday morning. Rev. Peter Derrick was in charge and Mary Davis provided music for the hymns. Don Cunningham and Marg Carroll were readers. Paul Bidell was server. On request Rev. Derrick's sermon was on "Hell" to be continued next Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Davis and Mary Davis were among the busload of seniors who attended the "Don Messer Jubilee" at Althouse College, London, Thursday evening.
