Hymn sing at United Church
Derick McGee was the Junior
minister at the United Church on Sun-
day morning and assisted Mr.
McDonald with the service by reading
the scripture.
The Junior and Senior Choirs with
Mrs. Fuss at the organ also assisted
in the service in the Ministry of
Music. The combined choir sang the
anthem "Jesus was a Child Like Me"
based on the scripture from Psalm
71:5 "Thou art my trust from my
youth",by J. M. Bowdish. The Junior
choir also sang the very beautiful
"Children Love Each Other" by A.F.
Myers based on the scripture "Be
kindly affectionate one to another
with brotherly love", from Romans
12:10.
Dorothy Corbett greeted the con-
gregation and the ushers were Donald
Wareing, Murray McGregor, Mark
McGregor and Gary Kyle. The
flowers at the front of the church were
placed in loving memory of Harvey
Jacobi by Mrs. Jacobi and family.
The service opened with a Gospel
hymn Sing and Mr. McDonald spoke
on the subject of "Where -is All This
Love". He took his text from I
Timothy.
The congregation were reminded
that next Sunday the Remembrance
Day Service will be held in the church
and that November 17 will be the An-
niversary Service with Glen Wright,
former minister of Exeter United
Church, and now of London as the
guest minister.. Mrs. Ruthig of St.
Marys will be the guest soloist.
A number of members of the Hen-
sall United Church Women attended
the Presbyterial Regional Meeting
held in Egmondville United Church
on Monday evening.

Meeting seven of the Kippen Kit-
chen Duties was held on October 29 at
the-Vanastra Curling Club. After we
repeated the pledge and heard the
minutes from the last meeting, we
learned about judging. We were given
a chance to judge tea biscuits and
each gave reasons for our choices.
We then discussed our exhibit for
the Achievement program which will
be based on "Decorative Edges and
Tops for Pies". The meeting was ad-
journed, after refreshments, at 9:45.
