Lots of entertainment. All proceeds go to community work. Tickets available from any Hensall Kinette or call 262-3241 or 262-2438. A bus with 53 friends and relatives plus more cars, traveled to Ridgetown to help Dorothy and Garnet Mousseau celebrate their 45th wedding anniversary on Sunday November 3. A lovely buffet was en- joyed at Bateman's Inn in Ridgetown. South Iluron Youth for Christ South Huron Youth for Christ held their November rally Saturday night November 2•in Brumfield school, with around 225 in attendance. Director Ron Westlake was in charge. He opened the rally with prayer followed by a number of choruses with pianist Sharon Parker. Quizzing time followed. Teams from Zurich, Bayfield, Clinton and Exeter participated. Zurich scored highest. Robert Steckle is quizzing master. - Ron Westlake was in charge of elec- tronic system and Evelyn Steckle and Edgar Cudmore in charge of score sheets. . They were quizzing on Proverbs Chapter 1 and December they will study Proverbs Chapter 2. Bob Heywood then brought a package of choruses and songs. Accopanied with accordion. This was enjoyed by everyone.• Ron made announcements for the coming months. December 7 Rev. Larry Marshall, Pastor of United Church at Shallow lake will minister in word and singing. January 4 will be talent night from the area churches. The Winter Snow Camp will be in February at Circle C Ranch in Delevan New York with Rev. Wes Aarum as Camp director. The plans now call for at least one bus and maybe two buses will go with teenagers and chaperone. . - The film "Never Ashamed" was shown. Mr. John Gower of Goderich closed the rally with prayer. Be sure and attend these rallies. Wins microwave • A draw for a Litton -Moffat microwave oven at Drysdale Major Appliance Store in Hensall was held Tuesday evening at a microwave cooking school. The lucky winner was Helen Mallett of Crediton. The draw for an automatic washer will be held on November 26 and a draw for a dishwasher on December 24. This is to help celebrate Drysdale's 40th anniversary selling appliances in the village of Hensall. Bazaar Carmel Presbyterian Church Bazaar and tea was held on Saturday, November 2. The door prize was won by Greta Graper of Exeter. Thanks to eve{yone who participated for mak- - ing it a very successfull afternoon. -The P.C.W. are meeting on November 11 at 8:00 p.m. in the church basement. Thea Wisch will be giving a flower demonstration. '- Carmel Presbyterian Rev. Ken Knight gave the service at Carmel Presbyterian Church on Sunday. Dorothy Taylor played the organ for the hymns. The flowers in the church were placed in laving memory of Marguerite "Bonnie" Bonthron. • The planning committee for the rt Reaburn retirement party met o Wednesday, October 30 and are pl nning an open house at Hensall Publi School for r Sunday January 12, 1986 from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Area people will be notified of this date by newspaper ads, and it is hoped that they will keep the date open so that as many as possible may attend. We hope that former students who are no longer in the area will be con- tacted by their families so that they" may attend. Personals Ernie and Olga Chipchase attend- ed a very special occasion for two former Hensall residents Jim and Jean (Bell) Morris who celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at the home of their son and daughter-in-law on Patrick St., Goderich. All their family was present. for the occasion, as were grandchildren, friends and neighbors.and relatives. One very special feature was the at- tendance of 12 former classmates from S.S. No. 14 Hay where Jean and Olga attended school. Guests attended from British Col- umbia, Ottawa, London, Perry Sound, Willowdale, Brantford, Mitchell, Ex- eter, Clinton, Goderich, Seaforth and Paris. On Sunday Mrs. Laird Mickle entertained her granddaughter and husband, Judith and Mrs. Randy Pollock of London who were recently married, Judith's parents Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Mickle of Exeter, her sister •,nij husband Mr. and Mrs. Dave O'Brien of Rondeau, and her brother John Mickle of London. They all en- joyed a delicious turkey smorgasbord dinner and a��agood visit. Stan MacDonald - thence to the Cenotaph for the laying of wreaths and the lost post. Medals will be worn. Following this ceremony refreshments will be served by the Ladies Auxiliary. We trust members of the community and urea will make a special effort to attend these services.
