Church Service
Rev. Robert Matheson was in
charge of the church service Sunday
morning. The scripture lesson was
read from Jeremiah 31:7-9, Hebrews
5:1-6, Mark 10:46-52. The sermon was
entitled "Marking The Map".
Jeremiah has radically good news
for those who suffer - i.e. widows and
orphans and news of the Grace of God
is as good a piece of news as an
unearned run!
Hebrews points to the evidence that
Jesus is our High Priest and the Son
of God.
Mark tells of a man who has his
map marked ("I am the Way, the
Truth and the Life") even before it
was trendy to recognize Jesus as
Messiah.
Jesus' role leaves Hebraic Levitical
priests in the dust. Jesus enacts God's
grace here and now. No waiting.

meeting will be held in Thames Road
