IRENE DAVIS
The last three years asCouncillorof our beautiful
village of Hensall has been among the most challeng-
ing, and rewarding years of my life....
Challenging ---- because I accepted the responsibili-
ty of representing your interests on Council
Rewarding ---- because I had the time to respond ef-
fectively to your many calls for information and
assistatIct. •
I have strong beliefs in the future of Hensall and its
people.
It was you the residents of Hensall who provided me
with the foundation for that belief and I thank you.
I will greatly appreciate your support on November
12th.
Sincerely
J.
Kipfer and MargaretConsitt organiz-
ed Bingo for our residents. We had a
great turn -out.
On Tuesday, Rev. Bob Sinasac pro-
vided our residents with a lovely ser-
mon. Phillipa Steckle played the
piano for us and Edyth Baker came
as a volunteer.
On Wednesday afternoon we held
our monthly Birthday Party in the
dining room. Coby and Irvine Ain -
moral provided musical entertain-
ment for the party.
We then played charades which
turned out to be very amusing.
Everyone enjoyed the cake and ice
cream which brought our party to an
end.
Birthdays celebrated at our party
were for Erna Schroeder, Neil Regan,
Russel Kerr, and our administrator,
Doris Jantzi. Mrs. Erlene Stewart
was our volunteer for the party.
On Thursday evening our weekly
film was shown in the Activity Room.
It was called "Bear Country", an ex-
cellent movie which everyone
thoroughly enjoyed. '
On Saturday morning several of our
residents joined in the Baking pro-
gram. We made chocolate chip
cookies which were delicious. In the
afternoon many residents gathered in
the Activity Room to watch Dale
Gooding carve a pumpkin.- After-
wards we enjoyed the cookies made
during the baking program for a
snack.
