IRVIN RADER Dashwood Dashwood Seniors met Monday, October 21 at the Community centre. President, Mrs. Ross Love opended the meeting with 0 Canada and the Lord's Prayer. A 50th anniversary card and one Sympathy card were sent out. Shuf- fleboard will be played each Tuesday afternoon during November. The Christmas meeting will be held Monday November 25 with a pot luck dinner at 1 p.m. followed by games. Cards were played. Mrs. Eben Weigand's group was in charge of the program. Mrs. Hilda Rader read two poems, Indian Sum- mer and Thanksgiving. Mr. and Mrs. Frans Boogemans favored with musical numbers. Mrs. Mildred Kellerman gave a reading "Mrs. Hadley's Hallowe'en Party". Mrs. Ken McCrae and Mrs. Weigand presented a short skit "A great saving." The group in charge served lunch. Mrs. Anna Messner is a patient in South Huron hospital, Exeter. Sunday afternoon visitors with Doug, Nancy, Paul and Rachael Nutt were Mr. and Mrs. George Nutt from Woodstock. Fourteen Seniors from Dashwood were guests with Bayfield Seniors Thursday evening. Following a report on the Convention held at Kingston, euchre was played with several from Dashwood bringing home prizes. A delicious lunch was served. Emil and Katherine Becker attLnd- ed the graduation of their niece, Lori Simmons, daughter of Howard and Eleanor Simmons of Kitchener. She graduated with honors Bachelor of Science Degree in dance at the Physical Activities building at the University of Waterloo. The gradua- tion reception was held at her home. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Miller, Charlotte and Karen, Zion, were Sunday visitors with Mary Rader. They all called on their aunt, Mrs. Rose Laub at the Blue Water Rest Home, Zurich. Men's Club Dashwood Men's Club held their an- nual Hallowe'en dance Saturday evening October 26. A good crowd at- tended the dance. The Jasper or- chestra played. Prizes were giveg for the best costumes. First prize went to Bill Weber for the most original (Mac- Donald Fries) Second prize went to the best dressed couple ( Cards) Tom and Elaine Hayter; third prize was for the best Hallowe'en theme (Scarecrows) Glen and Peggy Restemayer; fourth prize went to the funniest (Muppet) Bill Graff. A delicious lunch was served. A good time was had by all. Paul and Betty Ness, Stratford, were Sunday visitors with Aaron and Lillie Restemayer. Crediton area pair mark anniversary By MRS. STAN PRESZCATOR Crediton Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Morlock and relatives were entertained by the family, Sunday on the occasion of their 40th wedding anniversary. Following a dinner held at the Oakwood Inn at Grand Bend, the family and guests returned to the Morlock home in Crediton for a social evening. Guests were present from Waterloo, Walkerton, ' Tavistock, Stratford, Huron Park, London and Crediton. Charlie Glanville RR 1 Exeter will be celebrating his birthday October 31. . Sympathy is extended to the families of the late Murray Scott, Ex- eter. Mr. Scott passed away Thursday at South Huron Hospital Exeter. He was a bus driver forStephen Central School" for a number of years. The sermon topic at Zion United Church on Sunday was taken from Psalm 13:1-6 14:7 titled "Where Is God." Charles Ziegler from Centralia was in charge of the service. Thanks Charles for your message and also to his wife for joining us in the choir.
