Mark anniversary

The annual fall church anniversary
was held Sunday with a fair crowd in
attendance. Rev. Robert Matheson
was in charge of the service.
Robert and Kathy Bray sang two
duets "1 Know Who Holds To -
Morrow" and "For Those Tears I
Died" accompanied by the pianist
Miss Agnes Bray which were much
enjoyed.
Rev. Ken Bauman of Blyth told the
children a story which kept their at-
tention and also had the children and
the congregational singing a chorus.
Rev. Bauman read the scripture,
Isaiah 53:7-12, Hebrews 4:14-16, and
Mark 10: 35-45. Rev. Bauman gave a
very inspiring message and he took
his thoughts from the last two scrip-
ture readings: The choir sang "Turn
Your Radio On" accompanied by the

church was tastefully decorated in a
Thanksgiving theme.

Will discuss
health care
The Clinton town hall will be the site
for a public forum to discuss Huron
County healthcare planning, October
23. The 8 p.m. meeting, sponsored by
the Huron County Community Ser-
vices Council, is the result of a series
of Council discussions related to the
coordination of health services.
Invitations have been extended to
municipal councils, health agencies,
the m'»' "al profession as well as the
general public. Bob Dempsey,
Goderich, long associated with the
Board of the Goderich Alexandra and
Marine Hospital, will present an over-
view of health planning in Huron
County. Prof. Brian Sullivan, Urban
Planning Department. University of
Guelph and associate professor from
McMaster University. Hamilton, will
present a summary of planning
strategies as used across the Pro-
vince of Ontario to coordinate health
services delivery. Also in attendance
will be Jim Bain, Ministry of Health
• Coordinator for Southwestern Ontario
District Health Councils.
The participants at the meeting will
be asked for their opinions about the
need for additional coordination of
planning in Huron County.
The Community Services Council
intends to use the forum as a means
of determining whether the Minister
of Health, Murray Elston, MPP,
Huron -Bruce will be asked to appoint
a steering committee to formally
undertake a study of health planning
needs in Huron County. A similar
committee, which reported in 1975, re-
jected the concept of a District Health
Council by a narrow 8-7 vote.
The Council is anxious to determine
whether planning needs have chang-
ed in the intervening 10 year period.
It is hoped that a broad representa-
tion from health agencies and the
general public will participate in the
October 23 meeting.

Hayter and Clarence McDonald
represent the town of Exeter and the
townships of Usborne and Stephen.
Mr. Hayter represents the township
of Stephen alone and Mr. McDonald
represents Exeter and Usborne.
