Four-way .
stop okay
Motorists and pedestrians heading
east on Victoria St. to the rec centre
and public school will soon be govern-
ed by a new stop sign.
The intersection at Victoria and An-
drew will- be made into a four-way
stop due to the high ve1;icular and
pedestrian traffic. /
Andrew St. traffic already has a
stop sign on it.
There was some concern express-
ed by council members this week
• about changing the traffic pattern to
whiehAfie school children had become
accustomed.
1 was agreed there would have to
be an edu.:ational process undertaken
during the transition period.
"In transition, it may cause more
harm than solve problems," Mayor
Bruce Shaw cautioned. -
