- -The Crediton 4H Club No. 1 had
their third meeting October 5 at the
Crediton Community Hall.
Weal! made cornish pastries and 'car-
rot pie. All of the members were put
in groups and each one of us made a
part of the recipe.
Once they were in the oven cooking
we turned to our books and read about
dessert fillings, savoury pies and ad-
ding the finished touch to them. Next
we compared store-bought pies to,
frozen and then homemade. We came
up with the conclusion that the
homemade pastries are cheaper.
Before we left we had to try our
recipes. The group preferred the Cor-
nish Pasties to the Carrot Pie, but
both proved to be interesting.
The next meeting will be held
Saturday, October 19, at 8:30 a.m.
Lorne Johns, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd and family. Doug and Justin stood up
Cooper, Mr. and Mrs. Doug Miners at the wedding.
