The more looking, more loaf
By MRS. WILLIAM ROHDE
Rev. Robert Matheson -was in
charge of the regular church service
Sunday morning. We sang "God Sees
The Little Sparrow Fall" and Rev.
Matheson told the children a story
"The Little Engine That Could". The
Scripture Lesson was read from Job
28:20-28, James 3:13-4:3, Mark
9:30-37. The sermon was entitled "The
more I look for it, the more lost it
becomes".
In explanation of title Rev.
Matheson said human frustration at
looking for lost objects and at the
same time this title speaks of the
futility of searching for wisdom.
Place your faith in the wisdom of
God. Wisdom of God is different from
human wisdom, is oriented around
sense of community and family and
wisdom motivates unselfish
behaviour.
Next Sunday, October 6, at 11:15
a.m. the Sacrament of the Lord's Sup-
per will be celebrated. It is Worldwide
Communion Sunday.
